Astronomy Magazine Picture of Day (27 Dec 2016)
Hi all,
Just noticed late last night (after the fact) that my IC 410 - Tadpoles Nebula image made Astronomy Magazine Picture of the Day this past Tuesday (27 Dec 16)!

M31 - Andromeda Galaxy
Hi all :)  Here is my latest result. I imaged this on Thanksgiving eve (23 Nov 2016) here in my city. As normal, imaged this using my backyard portable setup. Hope you enjoy - I was so happy to get out again after so much time since my last imaging session. Also, this image was a test of the focus on my small Tak FS-60C telescope - it performed beyond my expectations. Love this scope.

M96 Group in Astronomical Society of Las Cruces publication
Hi all :)  Thanks to the Astronomical Society of Las Cruces (Clyde Tombaugh co-founded) for featuring my M96 Galaxy Group image in the September 2016 issue. Here is a screengrab from their publication.

M96 group of galaxies
Hi all:  Last object from earlier this year.  Here is data I have saved from back in Feb - purposely waited to process as we have had generally poor imaging weather, since. I actually picked up 3 asteroids during this imaging session :)  I have more info about that in the "Notes" area at the link.

The Boogie Man Nebula - LDN 1622
Hi all - a little delay on posting this one here :)  Anyway, very poor conditions for several months, so still slowly (purposely) working on data from earlier this year.  Here is one I have not imaged, before (but have wanted to for some time).  It took me about 30 minutes to get this centered correctly as it was not in my object database, so used RA/DEC coordinates to find it - dim object!

Seagull Nebula - IC 2177
Hi all, here is the latest processing result - I am *way* behind processing data, but that's ok since our weather hasn't been great here in Las Cruces :)

M78 - NGC 2068 (reflection nebula and surroundings)
Hi all :)  Quick entry as I finish processing data from my backyard - still have a few more objects, which is good since the weather is not great for collecting more data.  Here is the fairly dim reflection nebula M78 in Orion.

Astronomy Magazine - Pelican Nebula and Elephant's Trunk Nebula
Hi all - Just recently two of my images were featured as Astronomy Magazine Picture of the Day!  First, the Pelican Nebula (that I have not yet posted here until now) on 27 Jan 2016.  Then, the Elephant's Trunk Nebula was featured on 11 Feb 2016.  Screenshots of both are shown below (with links to the original images).  :)

Comet C/2013 US10 (Catalina)
Hi all :) Here was a quick shot of the comet getting a lot of attention. This was not part of my plan for the night, but instead something I thought about just before taking my equipment back inside the next morning.

I have details at the link, here:
